Many thanks to Marie Ange SANGUY Editor-in-Chief of Espace & Exploration for highlighting Satellites in the service of humanitarian aid
Philippe BOISSAT: “The satellite is an ideal and essential tool for humanitarian intervention, particularly in the first phase, which consists of taking stock of the situation. Indeed, for a humanitarian action to be effective, it is first and foremost necessary to carry out a precise analysis of the context in order to deploy the most effective solutions. I’m thinking here of quantifying population movements when civilians flee war zones or regions devastated by natural disasters.”
